Fees schedule will be provided to you prior to proceeding.

Mediation is an investment in your future that is usually far more satisfactory, faster and cheaper than paying legal fees or going to court.

It can also result in an agreement that 'you' determine, and can live with, rather than an imposed ruling, or 'lawyer to lawyer' ping-pong 'negotiations'.

Our mediation fees are very likely to buy you a durable agreement that is satisfactory to all and the possibility of respectful relationships.

Continuing the conflict and resorting to legal proceedings or lawyer led 'negotiations' is expensive, both financially and emotionally.  Litigation is a last resort course of action, and necessary in only a small minority of cases.

The costs of mediation and Family Dispute Resolution is

  • financially moderate compared with high costs of legal negotiations, settlement conferences and going to court, and

  • emotionally moderate, compared with the cost to you of continuing the conflict.

It is acknowledged that government assisted mediation may not be beneficial for everyone.  The wait times can be quite lengthy and means tested services may not benefit many income earners.  Long wait time can also add to overall stress, costly delays, instability for vulnerable parties (e.g. children) and potentially result in greater damage to relationships.  KP Consult aims to provide affordable, responsive and accessible dispute resolution services without the wait lists of government services.

Parties usually share the total cost for services equally, however, this can be varied at the request of the parties in any proportion agreed by them.

To start the mediation process, please fill out the online mediation form or email admin@kpconsult.com.au

Upfront payment is required before your session commences.  Note: Legal Aid WA funded clients are subject to Legal Aid agreement.
